(b.1984 Swindon UK)

Studied Fine Art Drawing BA through University of Bath 2007, undertaken at Swindon School of Art and Design.

My work mainly moves around the idea of loss and fabrication of memory. I am fascinated by the idea of how a memory can change and is subjective to your emotions at the time. I am also fascinated by how one persons memory of an event can differ so greatly from anothers.

I like to start my thought process off usually with a photograph. I get enthrawled by the moment that that one photo portrays, and how it can evoke an array of thoughts, memories and ideas.

A lot of my work has started its focus from my own past, and through it i've tried to explore my feelings and emotions about my life, and events that have happened during my life.

My work tends to lean towards drawing. I am a Fine Artist at heart, and drawing in my practice is an essential thought process. I naturally graduate towards a monochrome palete, using mainly charcoal, pen and paper. Although i do not limit myself to a certain type of media. I use and do what ever feels right at that time. Recently i have discovered stone carving, using soft stones like soap stone. I have fallen in love with this medium. I always loved doing ceramics whilst at college, but this is someting that i havent touched on for a long time, so to be able to work in 3D is such a great experience and something that resonates deeply within me.
